Chargers look good on paper but how often has that worked out? And the Raiders are coached by Mac and there’s already drama so we know how that will work out. Im thinking 11-6 is our floor. Getting put on PUP after TC starts is a different story - have to miss a minimum of 4 games (used to be 6). Apparently all are on schedule. This will be some fodder for the gamblers and the guys on radio but I don’t see anything worry about. Like you said, it was expected and all should be good by seasons start. It's just nice to have a lot of optimism this time around as opposed to the last few years. Practice only lasted an hour and a half, with no contact (as someone who played HS football in the late 90s that still seems weird) but reports from a few friends I knew who were there watching as fans said it was crisp and clean. The energy level was very positive, upbeat and enthusiastic, which sounds like a Hackett practice. We’re a real football team again. We have a real QB. We have a real coaching staff. We have a legit GM (and Elway was better than many think, but George is amazing). And we have a real owner, which is as important as anything; the W-P group will have the resources to spend and, unlike Ellis, the ability to spend it. This W-P group, maligned for various things (and some entirely legitimate) as they are, didn’t put up $4,650,000,000 to be a laughing stock. We've kinda felt that from afar this whole offseason.
