Game 1 - Post game mourning

- The defense is going to play better.

- The offense has to play better

- Rodgers better keep throwing to the rookies, whether he likes it or not. Create plays to their strengths until they learn, rather than expecting them to have it all down in week 1. Other quarterbacks do it. If you're as good as you think, you will too.

- Need our tackles and Lazard back.

- 50 needs to start even with 69 and 74 back. Either at right guard or right tackle.

- 67 needs to be cut. He sucks end of story.

- 21 needs to show up, he was embarrassed.

- The DC needs to get this defense's **** together. That was a joke.

- 73 played pretty well. HE can start in this league.

- Mini victory, no special team blunders.

- Everything is still in front of us. No time to panic.

- Better days ahead and the Bears are in for a beatdown.

It was what I was afraid it would be. No Lazard, no Jenkins, no Bak, no Adams. No Turner. Hanson starting! Game in Minnesota. No preseason work for the starters. The Vikings smelled blood in the water and ate.

Things to worry about:

Will the real Joe Berry please stand up?

Will Bak and/or Jenkins play before mid-season?

Can Sammy Watkins still run?

Can MLF ever figure out how to beat a Shanahan coach?

Just now, Brit Pack said:

Main take aways:

1) Christian Watson wears white socks while the rest of the team wears Green. Not good!

2) We can no longer says we are undefeated without Adam's in the lineup!

Adams' team lost too.  I doubt the outcome of this game is any different if was still a Packer.  The score would be closer but that's about it.  We had no answer for Jefferson.

Game wasn't far off from what I feared it could look like. A hyped up defense that didn't make many plays and had zero plan for JJ and an offense that looked disjointed and just seemingly had to struggle for every yard and first down. Nothing came easy. Sadly, the NFL is a game where one or two plays effect the entire game and the drop by Watson and 4th down stop killed the game.

Also not lost on us is the fact that we have lost at least once to Cousins for the third year in a row. Hopefully this time it won't doom us in the playoffs, and perhaps he will suffer a career-ending injury before the next time we play the Vikings.
