With a 12-18 month recovery time table the best case scenario is I think if he retires and at least that helps massage the cap hit for the Chargers. Just a catastrophic signing that we got zero value from and will have dead money going forward. 
 

Edit: nevermind if he retires it just accelerates that dead money. That signing really is going to screw whoever the next GM is.

patella tendon is bad enough, a major injury on it's own, much more sever than ligaments .  total dislocation sounds like it could be career ending, imagine what it was like to hear that as a player.
