So is Davis your new whooping boy because he didn't make All Pro year 1? Other then getting injured, Jordan Davis is a beast and was well worth pick # 13, not the 2nd rd'r you just suggested.

Jordan Davis is gonna have a lot to prove this year. Not only production wise, but he needs to have more than 10 snaps a game.

What does Jordan Davis do, besides stop the run?

If you can't rush the passer, you aren't worth a 1st, even if you are the best run defending DT in the NFL.

Linval Joseph in his prime isn't worth the 13th overall pick, and neither was Jordan Davis, because neither can rush the passer.

Would you draft the best run defending lb in round 1 if he sucked in coverage?

Would you draft a DE in round 1 that projects to 2 or 3 sacks a year, but is really good vs the run?

You wouldn't, but for some reason its worth the 13th overall pick to take a DT that can't rush the passer? A guy you actually have to take off the field on 3rd and long is worth pick 13? Ok.

If Jordan Davis is worth pick 13, then we'll be getting a steal if we take Keondre Coburn at pick 30. Maybe need to think about Mazi Smith at 10. Why settle for 1 Jordan Davis when you can have 2?

Just because Jordan hasn't been used as a pass rushing DT, doesn't mean he is incapable given his size and athleticism of doing it.

Mitching and complaining about his rookie stats given the DL we acquired after his injury is absurd. We will find out what he is capable of next year as an unquestioned Starter. Not a rotational piece among 8 DT..

Gotta chill on Davis. Not exactly optimal scenario for a rookie DT learning to play the pro game. If he mostly is getting doubled going forward, he’s doing his job. We’ll see. Wayyyyyyy to early to be out on him already though.

Yes it was. Rookie surrounded by Cox, Hargrave, Suh, etc, and playing limited snaps. Also had his teammate from college there to comfort him. What would be a better situation for a rookie? I literally can't think of a better situation to be in for a rookie DT. That's as ideal as it gets.

Is it wayyyyyyy to early to be out on Brian Bresee as well? He hasn't even been drafted yet.

It was also too early to be out on JJAW, Dillard, and Reagor after 1 year, yet you wouldn't have been wrong.

It's hilarious that you say mitching and complaining about his rookie year is absurd, yet your reasoning for why Jordan Davis will be fine is "He Big! And he run good!". Also funny you assume a guy with obvious conditioning issues won't be rotating heavily.

Project DT

Is that something you take at pick 13?

Isn't "Don't box people after 1 year" also just a narrative?

And it's not 1 year. It's 2 years. I boxed him when he was still wearing a Georgia uniform.
