The Ravens just traded their starting safety for a 7th round draft pick, a safety who was their 2nd leading tackler for the past three seasons in a row.  Big mystery why they did that....

Read what I said after they drafted him, at least I am consistent and have knowledge outside of just the players the Vikings draft so then they instantly are the best guy ever apparently.    Again the Ravens traded their 2nd leading tackler for the last three season for a 7th round pick, because a certain player is kind of good and they want him on the field.

And that still has absolutely nothing to do with this thread. Again. You do this in every-single-thread. He has no relevance to this discussion. None. At all. He is not a player the Vikings drafted. He is not currently a Viking. He will likely never be a Viking. He’s not even a cornerback. Which is, you know, the topic of this thread.

You can have all the knowledge in the world about Kyle Hamilton. He still is irrelevant to this discussion. Or really, to any discussion about the Vikings going forward unless they trade for him, are playing him, or signing him in free agency.

So go to the store and buy yourself a cookie.

Then get back on topic.

Dude get over yourself, it was clearly in reference to a comment that the "new leadership" can bring in quality defensive backs.  I showed more than once example that in terms of year one, yeah they did not do that great bringing in DBs, but yeah one of those DBs was not a corner but the other three were.

Maybe you should get back to your standup routine, see me say the name Kyle Hamilton and make a joke but totally disregard everything else said.

Better get back to your scintillating snide commentary.  Congratulations.

True, but if you think I am just saying this in a hindsight is 20/20 situation, no I made similar comments after the draft go look, and thought the same thing then and in terms of year one, yah it was correct.  That could change but "new leadership" absolutely missed in the draft more than once and bought in a crap corner in free agency from Green Bay, that I also said at the time.  But you can all stand by Sullivan like you did when they brought him in.  That is support of the team?  Ok.

Maybe they can but fact is the issues they had were brought on by the "new leadership" and the players they drafted or brought in, so a lot will be told by what they do now with an apparent clean slate.

I'm Not standing by anything. I'm suggesting what previous front offices did isn't relevant. And that I'm not going to judge this one after one season when they won 13 games.... positively or negatively.

That is fair, but right out the gate it does not look good but possibly can be corrected.

And they drafted Lewis Cine instead of Kyle Hamilton at safety but sure that is not a corner position.

So why bring it up in a discussion about corners?  You can't help yourself can you?    You just can't move on.  And no, this was never a discussion about bringing in defensive backs...it's strictly cornerbacks.

Yeah....and you stood by Bisi Johnson as well didn't you when I brought up a laundry list of guys they should have picked instead of him and at or near the top of that list was Jakobi Meyers.  How is he and Bisi doing now?  Pretty sure similar things were said, quit bringing up Bisi, he is good etc etc...

I hope you never manage people. Because you don't make decisions on one time doing a process. Also, they did win 13 games ..     I just don't get your certainty..... In every thread.

I think my brain automatically censors his posts as a safety defense mechanism

Getting back on topic. Right now we got

Andrew booth

akayleb evans

kalon barnes

Tay Gowan

even if they wanted to, you can’t address this position group just via the draft.

they are going to sign cbs. Most likely a few! The strategy on which few is what interests me the most. Will it be one big fish and then couple small bargains? Will it be a couple mid tier guys? How many with inside ability?

They absolutely need at least one veteran, I'd be shocked if it isn't two. And then not any draft picks. I expect a DL or ILB after they trade down. Unless they take a center in round one.
