Mclanahan done for the year and probably needs TJ. Rays have always treated their pitchers like they were pieces of meat

You’re gonna need to back that up with McClanahan. He’s thrown over 100 pitches one time this year, and they brought his inning count up slowly over the past three years.

Their pitching coaches and organization literally want their pitchers to throw their breaking balls as hard as they can.  They also never have a true 5 man rotation so he's not always getting full rest

This is not true.

Their original starting 5 pitchers this season in their first 5 games are on the IL lmao

What does that have to do with how much rest he has? He's had at least 5 days rest on every start, and some starts he's had a lot more than that.

Point is the way the Rays staff prioritize "stuff" over anything else is why their pitching staff is all at home in a sling or a cast

Listen, I don't care one bit if this is your opinion, but you keep stating it as if it is a fact. You have no data to back any of this up. I really don't get the comment about wanting their pitchers to throw their breaking balls as hard as they can? Do you know that everyone does this? Unless you have some kind of variation of a pitch, like say Yu Darvish who throws a slow breaking curve and a hard breaking curve, everyone is trying to get the max amount of spin rate on every pitch they throw. That's a fact.

It's something that's obvious to anyone that's watched a large amount of baseball the past 10 years or so. Maybe even longer. They talked about it on NESN today on the Red Sox broadcast about how the Rays run through pitchers like NASCARs run through tires. It's basically common knowledge at this point. You can look up a littany of pitchers sidelined with the rays over the years. Glasgow, McClanahan, Blake Snell, Fairbanks, Jeff Springs, Chirinos, Rasmussen, Josh Fleming, JP Feyereisen, Tony Saunders,

It's quite literally a running joke in baseball about how they run through these guys and emphasize "stuff" over everything. That's why they are referred to as a pitching factory. They always seem to have one of the best bullpens too. They call up Johnny Streetwalker from AAA to come up in relief and throw 50 innings with a sub 2 era because the had so many pitchers getting hurt.

if you can't realize the rays run through pitchers like Socks idk what to tell you

The problem is, you don’t research the things you spout. You just spout them because of a narrative you’ve heard that aligns with some kind of trend you think you’ve noticed.

Since 2012 the Rays have had 17 MLB level Tommy John surgeries. Good for better than half of the MLB. Organizationally wise, they’ve had 69 since 2012, good for 5th best in the MLB.

Your narrative has zero statistical backing and is garbage until proven otherwise. Sorry.

What are you like a player wife or something? They have injury problems with their pitchers whether it be TJ or other things. Every team in the division references it pre game before they play the rays, or if they're in the AL East.

4 out of the 5 of the starters from the first week this year are done for the year. Fact. They run roughshot through pitchers and if you're gonna get butt hurt over that, so be it.

But, I just proved to you that they don’t. You get that, right? Unless you’re trying to argue that this is something new, like within the past three years? Then I’d have dive into what that looks like and maybe there’s some sort or correlation? Either way, it’s definitely not the case that the rays pitching staff is abusing their pitchers because they want them to throw their breaking balls as hard as they can….. That’s a tell me you’ve never pitched before without actually telling me moment if I’ve ever seen one.

Also, this has nothing to do with being butthurt or being a players wife or whatever insults you want to throw. I asked for evidence, you gave nothing of the sort save for some anecdotal stuff that has no backing and flat out incorrect assumptions. It is entirely possible that the Rays have just had a string of bad luck, I don’t go around accusing people of abuse without evidence. Sorry.

Wow, was there a few years ago and that stadium was amazing.  Much better than CoPa in Detroit and they are crying for more money?  Sad that teams are trying to hold these tax payers hostage.  Don't own a team if you can't afford to maintain it and the stadium.
