The RB market is garbage. If the Giants pay Saquon more than the tag number a year now, they made a mistake.

Gotta feel for Jacobs and Saquan, both balled last year but RB's just aren't getting paid this off-season. And we've seen some high profile backs take pay cuts and get cut with Zeke, Aaron Jones, and Leonard Fournette.

It really is a GD shame!!! The fact NFL FO now a days can use and abuse a RB for the first 4-5 years of thier career, is absolutely unfortunate!!!!

IF I'm young in HS, it's the last GD position they should play!

It definitely sucks for the players. I think what we will end up seeing is these good-great college RBs stay for their full eligibility at get as much in NIL deals as they can. They aren't going to be picked high in the NFL draft, and they aren't going to get paid on their second contracts, so their best bet is using college to supplement the relatively low amount of money they will get in the pros. Popularity and marketability for RBs in college has got to be pretty damn high; even higher than the team's QB in a lot of instances. Gotta cash in when you can.

Handing the ball off to a RB in the backfield, if you look at it from a 30,000 foot view, has got to be one of the most insane propositions in sports. Your QB is not going to block for you, so it is the RB, looking at 11 guys who are all in front of him, whose only goal is to hit him as hard as they can, and you have 9 guys trying to block those 11 and you need to get to the other side of those 11 defenders. And if you are good, you are doing that 20 times a game. Every week you are playing 20 games of a heavily-stacked-against-you version of kill the man with the ball against olympic level athletes. It's nuts. Those guys don't get paid nearly enough for that.
