you just skipped over your wildcat explaination ? why a 4-5 gain every attempt on a tiring D and gets JF off the field is awful  ? why there cannot be a passing option with RJ  ??

Any formation that takes Justin Fields off the field for any reason on offense is a bad idea. Period. He’s your most dynamic playmaker, by far, and running anything that intentionally starts the play with the ball not on his hands is a dumb ******* idea that makes your chances of success on offense lower. No further explanation is needed.

Specific to the Wildcat in general, if it got 4-5 yards every attempt then every team would use it regularly. They don’t, because it doesn’t. This isn’t complicated. Wildcat is a gimmick that attempts to give the offense a numbers advantage because the guy taking the snap is a runner, and who might be able to throw. We, and hear me out here, already have a guy taking the snap who’s a big time threat to run or pass. So why would it be advantageous for the Bears swap out Fields for a slower and less dynamic runner who’s unquestionably a much lesser threat as a passer? What would the Bears stand to gain by making the offense on any given play more predictable and less versatile, and thus far easier to defend? Any concern over Fields taking hits on such plays is easily avoided by just not calling designed QB runs as much, no?

What NO did and does with Hill is different than what you’re suggesting with Johnson. It’s exactly the opposite. He’s a subpar passing QB who plays other positions and who they use like a college option QB in certain situations because he’s not really a QB in their eyes (when their primary QB gets hurt it’s almost never Hill stepping in as the temp starter, is it?). He’s not a RB playing QB. If they were to actually do something like what you’re suggesting it would make far more sense to do the Hill way with a college QB, but even then, it’s a bad idea because it takes the ball out of your best player’s hands.

Take out the TE and you are describing Johnson ?

why can't he play some QB with his skill set  ? you keep repeating your overall opinion but you are not explaining anything.  Can he not read Ds well enough, are his mechanics so awful that he simply cannot complete a pass on an NFL field against a D lulled to sleep by his running up there arse over and over  ?

Johnson. Is. Not. A. QB.

Dominique Robinson was a QB in HS too - should we try this with him instead? He’s WAY bigger than Johnson.

🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Kinda starting to get the idea you're not a hundred percent on board with this idea.

Well we did exactly that, took JF off the field and ran the WC   ...so some further explanation maybe is necessary

No, merely not calling designed runs does not  'avoid' all the contact JF absorbs throughout the course of a game

Of course JF is better Sherlock  and its best to have it in his hands  but if there is a way to move the chains, tire a D and have JF off the field from time to time, why not implement something ? We have to protect JF and missing plays adds up over the years..

How is this such a foreign concept  ??

I am not following your logic 'it's exactly the opposite'. How ? Why couldn't Roschon do any of what you are saying (college option qb)  Hill does for  NO  ??

RJ is a special human being.

We are going to want him on the field as much as possible, he is elite of the elite is pass pro and catch passes like a receiver

If he can lead a successful designed package from time to time and give JF plays off  that's just smart
