After Sunday's performance, the Vikings' only kicker on their roster has converted only 76 percent of his field goal tries this year, which is even lower than the 78.8 field-goal percentage that he finished with last season. https://thevikingage.com/posts/3-minnesota-vikings-should-benched-week-15-cincinnati-bengals/4 brutal.

Daniels isn't kicking the ball. Their STs, including punting, is about the middle of the pack. It's only Joseph's kicking that is dragging down their overall ST DVOA.

wcblack34
I felt that Joseph deserved his contract for this year based on the fact that he did make some clutch kicks last year. But I don't think he should be on the team next year if we can find a young guy with upside or a clear upgrade.

Wright has been worse than he was last year, but he's still middle of the pack. I think if we've learned anything over the years is that the ST coordinators have little to do with anything regarding the effectiveness of an individual kicker or punter. It's on the player themselves to improve. The coordinators have far more to do with the coverage teams than the individual kicker or punter.

I’m surprised he’s lasted this long to be honest. I know Joseph has had some big kicks so maybe that has given him a bit of job security.
