Then they figured it out and played very well. I think that is a good point. As soon as the injuries started to pile up, the defense fell apart. BWG VIKE Posted January 8 Share Posted January 8 I think we have avoided Flores being a part of the coaching cycle this season. I was a big fan of his aggressiveness, but it was clear we were lacking depth at all levels and struggled to consistently apply pressure. Only one that maybe does outside of Murphy is Blackmon, but as for Evans, Booth or Joejuan Williams...hell no. Also shows how easy it is to stop a guy like Danielle Hunter when you have nothing else to worry about, no Wonnum, no Davenport, no Lowry etc, yeah Hunter needs talent around him to open himself up. Teams rarely rebuild through free agency and bringing back Cousins doesn’t really have to alter your draft strategy if you really want to be aggressive about getting a QB. It does make improving the defense all the more challenging, I get that. Tough choice for sure. Not going after you specifically as many here want both Hunter and Kirk back, but the Vikings don't have a ton of cash. With Jefferson he could hold out if he's not resigned. I just think this team needs to get the most important piece for the future figured out now -- Jefferson. It's too bad the team didn't trade Hunter before the deadline because I believe he's gone.
