nicfre2011
I figured I would create a thread specific to discussions on the wide receivers for the upcoming 2024 draft. I will start off....what can you guys tell me about Florida State WRs Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman...and South Carolina WR Xavier Leggette? grizmo78
Not that this answers your question but right now it's a clear top 3 for me. MHJ - Nabers - Odunze, although I still need to watch more of everyone right now. Coleman is likely 4th.
Scoundrel
There are a clear top 4 IMO MHJ is extremely well rounded and viewed as the clear cut top guy. Odunze has some excellent foot quickness and quickness off the ball for his size. Coleman is raw with freakish ability. He is still developing but he has that George Pickens type Dawg in him. Nabers is a route running and quickness specialist who just produces and looks a lot like Aiyuk imo. Last season I believe he led the NCAA in broken tackles for WR’s (I could be wrong but he was up there) I have now see him high point a ball…Although that won’t likely be much of his game. The class has everything you could ask for. True potential #1’s on the outside with size with MHJ, Odunze, Coleman and a move piece that can play all over and still function as a number one in Nabers. Then there is Brian Thomas Jr, Egbuka, Franklin, Worthy, Mitchell, Polk, Leggette, Corley and more

Last season I believe he led the NCAA in broken tackles for WR’s (I could be wrong but he was up there) but I don’t really recall seeing him high point a ball in contested catch situations and in fact the one attempt I did see the DB broke it up through his hands. That won’t likely be much of his game. The class has everything you could ask for. I know you didn't mention Wilson from FSU...thoughts? It seems crazy to see 6'7" 235 lbs., and supposedly runs a sub 4.50, with freakishly long arms. Is he a Kyle Pitts type of prospect (not saying he as good or as athletic as Pitts) that is an absolute freak athlete but teams struggle to find him a role in the offense that will maximize his talent and ability to impact the game on a consistent basis? Not a big fan of him. Don’t like his breaks and has too many drops. Could see a Waller type move to TE. Watch he and Coleman on the field together. One looks like an NFL WR one does not just off the eye test imo.
Daniel
I have MHJ, Nabers, Legette, Coleman, and Odunze as the top 5 now, but with so many great talents in the class, that could change.

I really like the idea of Coleman as an option for the Chiefs.

He is a size/speed dynamo with the ball in his hands but needs some route refinement. And very limited production before this year.

He’s big, and with South Carolina’s OL, he hasn’t gotten nearly the opportunities that other WRs have had to show their stuff. But watch him against UNC. He was their whole offense that game. I wouldn't even mind a trade-up to get him. I definitely am looking at mid-1st to mid-2nd round prospects to consider.

I did watch that game and came away impressed, although I admit I haven't really watched other SC games...definitely an intriguing prospect IMO. TitanSlim
So I have two things. 1)How do you guys feel about LSU WR Brian Thomas Jr? 2)I know it's still early and we don't know who's staying and going, but how would you rank last year 1st round WRs vs the (potential) guys in this upcoming draft?
