Week 2 Power Rankings:

1. Little Rock Uni Royals (1-0, LW:1) - Little Rock showed showed why they are at the top with the only 3-score win of the week.

2. Indianapolis Predators (1-0, LW:3) - They comfortably beat the Blobfish with Justin Herbert having the best QB performance of the week.

3. Hamilton Hornets (1-0. LW:4) - The Hornets were pulling away early and the run game was shutting down the Humanoids but it got dicey for a bit when the offense suddenly couldn't convert and the opposition started airing the ball in desperation.

4. Rio de Janeiro Pirates (1-0, LW:2) - The defence bent but didn't break early, allowing Mahomes and company to take the upperhand midway through the game and keep it. They don't drop as much as the group of teams behind the champs are all considered elite and they were essentially all tied for 2nd and Rio had the "worst" performance of the bunch.

5. Tokyo Shoguns (1-0, LW:9) - Their offense was carried by the running game despite Trey Smith's best efforts to sabotage it. The stats of the game seem to show that both teams played relatively well but the Shoguns found the edge.

6. Cincinnati Buffleheads (1-0, LW:12) - I don't know if I should reward them this much for beating the Amish but we have very little info and they won easily so I'll give them the bump over a pair of losing teams that couldn't run the ball at all. They had a great game all-around.

7. Freiburg Venom (0-1, LW:5) - It seems their OLine may very well be their main concern. No one player did very poorly on the line and they didn't allow any stuffs but they couldn't get pancakes and their running backs couldn't seem to get to the 2nd level. In fact they were the worst rushing unit of the week. Goff and the wide receivers did well but it seems like there was potential to be much better. We'll see if a pattern emerges but they honestly looked fine everywhere except rushing the ball.

8. Cambodia Humanoids (0-1, LW:8) - Their performance didn't have the result they wanted, and they need to improve their ground game, but by the end they looked like they might have a good team here.

9. Reykjavik Direwolves (0-1, LW:6) - They got gashed on the ground and couldn't do much themselves there either. That quickly got their game out of hand and they suffered the worst result of the week. Losing to the top team in week one normally wouldn't be too concerning but the way it happened was worrisome. The battle this week vs Cambodia will be one that could shape the trajectories of both these teams' seasons.

10. Okoboji Ents (1-0, LW:16) - The stat sheet for both teams was a mess but the Ents were able to hold on thanks to a good first quarter by Murray before he kinda disappeared for the rest of the game. A big punt return in the 3rd quarter helped set up the short field to put up a cushion. Both defenses played relatively well but the Ents had and kept the advantage thanks to that early lead.

11. Tombstone Outlaws (0-1, LW:7) - A slow start on defense hurt them. They were just a couple yards and a couple seconds away from a potential Matt Prater game-tying FG.

12. Phoenix Rubber Ducks (0-1, LW:11) - They couldn't convert on key downs and missed a FG. They just left too many points on the board vs a strong Rio team that is known for their comebacks. Now they return home with a huge division rivalry game vs Tombstone. No game this week may mean more by season's end than this one.

13. Burlington Sock Puppets (1-0, LW:17) - The offense was efficient. They converted on key downs despite not putting up crazy yards. Mostert did really well on the ground with almost 6 yards per carry and over 100 yards while Kelce was clutch with 2 redzone TDs.

14. New Zealand Blobfish (0-1, LW:10) - The defense was okay despite some concerns and the stats on offense look okay as well but the problem was that Jalen Hurts just couldn't get the ball to anyone. Maybe it's not wholly his fault and they couldn't get open but it didn't appear to be the line's fault at least. If this becomes a pattern for Hurts there will be punishment but for now they avoid falling further because of who they lost to.

15. Lake Minnewanka Ice Orcas (1-0, LW:15) - Geno is already starting to look like a liability but he got the chunks when it mattered and the run game led the team to the win.

16. Wattsville Waste Walruses (1-0, LW:20) - Wow! That was a comeback for the ages; well, maybe just the week with how nuts the league is every week. They had a good run game and the experience at QB prevailed over the rookie. The defense could have been better but the turnovers were huge. This was only a modest bump but if they beat Freiburg, they will get a nice boost despite that team being winless.

17. Hanoi Viet Kongs (0-1, LW:14) - Caleb Williams did well but his mistakes are what probably cost his team the game. It's too soon to knock them completely for having a rookie QB but a loss to Lancaster and their rookie QB could see them at the bottom.

18. Anchorage Quill Pigs (0-1, LW:13) - A lack of a good rushing performance hindered them and Nabers did poorly while Downs and McBride were practically invisible. Nick Bolton did well on defense but more players need to step up.

19. Egypt Starfalls (0-1, LW:19) - The run game wasn't horrible but it wasn't great and checkdown Purdy was padding his rating numbers getting completions and avoiding incompletions along with chances to win.

20. Lancaster Fighting Amish (0-1, LW:18) - Jayden Daniels did okay while Kenneth Walker and George Pickens were bright spots but they didn't get the ball close to enough. They were 1 for 10 on 3rd down. They also had trouble stopping the run. They were one of 3 teams to lose by at least 2 TDs and they did it vs what is expected to be the worst team of the bunch.
