The answer to all "my QB's contract is up but I'm not sure if he's a franchise guy because [X] so do I sign him" questions is "yes, pay him".

Yeah, this isn't gonna be a problem very long. PrettyRickey HEAVILY insinuated yesterday that Jordan Love will be getting a new contract this week that will make him the highest paid QB in the league, and he's been spot on about just about everything.
