Can't say I'm surprised by this performance.

Watson was always going to be the biggest question mark, and now we're down to a third string LT and RT with a RB who can't doing anything unless there's good blocking.

Defense is going to be exhausted by halftime.

The Deshaun Watson saga is one of the weirdest I've ever seen.

Not really. He had one and a half really good years, didn't play for two years, had his shoulder explode and is dealing with the fallout of being a public pariah and sexual abuser. Pretty easy to see why he sucks. The real mystery is why he got paid.

Browns doing Browns things is the least suprising aspect of it all.

It's obvious what Watson has to do to be good again... we now know where his powers came from.

That's an understatement. He was on pace for the best rookie year of all time before he suffered an injury. He came back and had three strong years in a row. And then the sexual abuser stuff comes out, he gets traded, and he comes back and is total **** when he actually plays.

EDIT: Big Ben went through similar stuff with rape, and his game didn't totally fall apart. It's just weird that he's gone from top QB to a bum.

The crappiest part of the Deshaun debacle (aside from…the obvious) is that the Browns actually have a SB caliber defense here. Hard to keep that around for multiple years at a time, but they’re locked into Watson for those years.

They’re honestly better off drafting a QB and letting Watson be the most expensive backup QB in the history of the NFL. If the GM/owner could stomach it, that is.
