curious, at what point can part of the foot touch out of bounds?

a toe-drag qualifies as in bounds even if the heel never touches in bounds.

Is there a point where a heel touches first, and the guy keeps his toes up long enough for it to count?

If you drag the heel and the toe does not ever touch it would be a catch... that is a very unathletic way to use your legs and is extremely unlikely to occur.

Never.

I guess theoretically you could double heel drag, have your toes in the air then leave both feet jumping out of bounds. If any part of the foot comes down out of bounds during the initial 2 step then its incomplete.

lol beat me to it.

I guess maybe like falling backwards while off balance out of the back of the endzone? Or somehow sliding backwards on your heels?
