Leader
Rob Demovsky: The Packers had 6-foot-10 Nate Wozniak in for a workout today. He played tight end in college but has tried to make the NFL as a tackle. He has spent time on two NFL practice squads (Saints in 2018 and Falcons earlier this season plus an offseason stint with the Vikings). Here's the full list of players the Packers worked out on Monday, according to a league source: T Nate Wozniak (Minnesota). T Brandon Hitner (Villanova). LB B.J. Bello (Illinois State). LB Andrew Dowell (Michigan State). LB Trevon Young (Louisville). DT Ashaad Mabry (UT-San Antonio). Note: Bello has played in 19 career NFL games (16 for the Browns in 2017 and three for the Eagles last season). ... Young played in two games for the Rams last season. Leader
Andy Herman: With Adams likely out & Jamaal Williams potentially out, it’s not going to be easy to put together a gameplan. GB’s run offense has been stagnant, the TE’s haven’t produced, & any 3 WR set isn’t exactly going to strike fear in defenses. Need a big game from Rodgers & the defense. However, Saints weren't spectacular and still beat the Cowgirls with Bridgewater. Defense and special teams (which was horrible last week ) has to carry a lot of the load along with some better play calling and execution in the red zone.. coachbuns
Watched a few games yesterday and we sure could use a TE that gets open and catches some balls. What a difference it makes for a TE to find that hole in a zone, run a nice 10 yard route, maybe even block on a play or two. Graham had 5-6 catches last game which was good to see but when we needed that special effort in the end zone, twice he couldn't make the play. Certainly would take some pressure off our WR's. Just sayin.
Leader
Acme Packing: In a minor roster move on Monday afternoon, the Green Bay Packers have reportedly added a new player to their practice squad. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has reported that the Packers have signed a linebacker, B.J. Bello, to the practice squad. Bello comes to the Packers after spending training camp with the Houston Texans, coincidentally spending two days of practice in Green Bay when his former team held joint practices with the Packers. Before that, Bello played a full season for the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted rookie in 2017, primarily serving as a special teams player. He recorded six tackles in 16 games that year, then had stints on the practice squads of the Cardinals and Eagles in 2018 before a brief three-game span on Philadelphia’s active roster late last season. Despite spending the first month of the 2019 regular season out of football, Bello’s athleticism almost certainly landed him this roster spot. After playing his college football at Illinois State, Bello posted an excellent Pro Day workout in March of 2017. Measuring in at 6-foot-2 and 228 pounds, Bello ran a reported 4.56-second 40-yard dash (with a stunning 1.46-second ten-yard split) and posted an excellent 6.71-second time in the three cone drill. To make room for Bello, the Packers have reportedly released another linebacker, Brady Sheldon.
Leader
Peter Bukowski: When Will Redmond got hurt, the Packers turned to Josh Jackson and suddenly the Eagles stopped getting mismatches with their TEs. You're basically in dime defense, but if you're going to play small, play small w/ your best DBs. (Sentiments voiced by @Packerraymond in the GDT)

craig
Lazard and Shepherd both were playing on the last drive. Shepherd ended up wide open on the interception. (Although maybe that's because his defender anticipated that Rodgers was committing to MVS... That was actually a nice play design, I thought. If Rodgers had waited another two steps, Shepherd had an easy TD. Or if MVS had gotten his hands up to catch the pass. Not sure if this was mentioned, but in Philly game Jones looked kind of limpy/gimpy, at least to me.

This happens all year long with every team every year. I'm not trying to rip on ya. But this isn't always reported or if it is, not in any big way. So then when it gets seen like this, it looks like something special or wherever.
Howler
Anybody else read this for entertainment? https://www.acmepackingcompany.com/2019/10/1/20893383/packers-trade-targets-wrs-emmanuel-sanders-aj-green-stefon-diggs-robby-anderson Diggs is my favorite and unfortunately it would never happen due to the Minnesota wall. Diggs is probably the best pure route runner in the NFL. Edited October 1, 2019 by Howler
