My overall thoughts:
We need to go BPA QB which is Darnold
Given how atrocious our CBs are, we end up with two day 1 starters in Fuller and Ward.
We finally get our FS in Mathieu allowing Jabrill to move to SS or 3rd S/LB role if he cant beat out Kindred
Arizona has to decide whether to commit or cut Mathieu and given their cap and Budda Baker. I think a developmental QB plus 2 picks sways them trade a guy they were going to release either way
We need a 3rd rusher and I think Davenport can afford to develop while Ogbah and Garrett start
I think Tretter is too weak and gets pushed back way too much. Price strengthens the middle and at a lower cap hit.
Lastly we need a WR insurance and honestly I have no idea where the WRs are projected in the draft so I just picked the names that sounded familiar

#4--Saquon Barkley RB Penn State     (Best player in the draft. We get lucky and the Giants take a QB, Colts take Chubb.)

2nd--DJ Chark WR LSU     (Elite athlete with great size and RAC ability. Underrated because his college QB was a pap smear. Josh Gordon insurance.)

2nd--Brian O'Neill OT Pittsburgh     (Freak athlete with legit LT potential. Sits behind Joe and eventually replaces him.)

2nd--MJ Stewart CB North Carolina     (Great fit in our scheme. Physical corner that matches up well with any WR's in both man and zone. Could play NCB too. Day 1 starter.)

3rd--Orlando Brown OT Oklahoma     (We take the horrible combine guy. He's still a stud on the field. Plays RT right away.)

4th--Skai Moore WLB South Carolina     (Great run and chase LB'er that can come in on passing downs for Joe Slowbert.)

4th--Quin Blanding FS Virginia     (Fundamentally sound player back there that doesn't get beat deep. Mediocre athlete, but great wrap-up tackler that plays angles well.)

5th--Holton Hill CB Texas    (Upside for days. Big and fast. Off-field issues drop him, but he's talented enough to get minutes right away.)

5th--Antonio Callaway WR Florida     (Terrible person, very good athlete and WR prospect. Worth a flier here in the 5th round.)

6th--Dimitri Flowers FB Oklahoma     (A versatile FB that can run, block, and best of all, catch. He's basically a 6'0 TE that can line up all over the place.)

6th--Braxton Berrios WR Miami Fl.     (Slot WR extraordinaire. Lacks dynamic speed or quickness, but makes plays every week regardless. Great blocker. Catches everything.)

7th--Matthew Thomas MLB Florida State     (Ht/wt/spd freak that is worth a late round flier. Was a 5* recruit that hasn't lived up to the billing. Purely a potential pickup here.)

 

 

Future needs:

1. Free Safety. My plan would be to move Peppers to SS in front of Kindred and have Blanding and McCourty battle for FS #1 spot. We still need a difference maker there.

-Priority: Burning!

 

2. Cornerback. Dennard and MJ Stewart should be solid, but I'd love a shutdown cornerback on the roster that would allow us to move Stewart to the nickel and Dennard to the #2 spot.

-Priority: Warm

 

3. Power RB. I love our backs, but I'd like a goal line guy that has power. This is easy enough to acquire.

-Priority: Room Temperature

 

4. Center. I think Tretter is fine, but we could upgrade if the 2018 class pans out and there aren't many glaring holes.

-Priority: Room Temperature

 

5. Linebacker. We need another LB'er if Collins continues to play "solid" for a dude making as much as he is. Hopefully he blows up in 2018 and eliminates that narrative.

So you are shooting all the flak I can handle for being against picking Mayfield at #1 or #4 in another thread but in your mock.... you take Sam Darnold.

ummmmmm I never said Baker was better than them. Did you know it's possible to like more than 1 player at a position? You're saying Mayfield is going to be terrible. You called him Johnny Manziel-lite. That is what I found so amusing and misinformed. I wouldn't want to pass on Darnold or Rosen for Baker, but I wouldn't fill an olympic-sized pool with tears about it like you would.

Ok. I'm going to answer both of your posts here: 

I have never said Mayfield isn't a great college QB. I have said it numerous times. He played well in college. I, Mastercheddar, Agree with Bleed the clock that Baker Mayfield was a great college QB. The kid has skill... for a college QB. 

I have said the following, I would rather have Darnold and Rosen because I do not think Mayfield will be any good in the pros. I do not see him being better than either of the two I listed. AND that is it also worth noting he is a jerk. For comparison sake I mentioned Johnny Manziel because that is who Mayfield reminds me of. Thinking about Mayfield as a QB for the Browns gives me the SAME gut feeling I got when Quinn, Weeden, Manziel, and Kizer  names were called. My QB gut feelings are batting 1000 so far.  

So in conclusion - WE BOTH AGREE DARNOLD OR ROSEN would be better picks. We differ on where Baker is drafted. I do not feel he is a top 5 pick. You could argue with me maybe even convince me that he is a late 1st/2nd rounder based on his success in college. I would still hold my reservation on his size and attitude though. BUT saying he should be a top 5 pick is where I'm going cry a whole Olympic village worth of pools over. He would be a terrible waste of a pick at #4 and would shake my fandom to it's core. I would walk away if his name was called at #1.
