I'd love the result of this 1st round, although I don't think we need to trade back up to get Guice. Either he's there for us at 35, or we can take another RB in that slot or later - Dorsey has a good track record of finding RB gems outside of the 1st round.

It's funny to me about how people say Dorsey has an excellent track record as a drafter. Andy Reid had an excellent track record as a drafter when he coached Philly and IMO, he was responsible for a lot of the picks KC made over the last few years, not Dorsey. In my mind, there are serious question marks about Dorsey as a drafter, especially since he lost an internal war with Reid over which one to keep. It suggests to me that Reid not Dorsey was far more responsible for KC's drafting than Dorsey and it would be a typical Haslam move, to hire the wrong guy for the wrong reason.

I will be watching this draft with a lot of fear, that Dorsey just might turn out to be another Haslam disaster, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt, till I see the results of the upcoming draft!!!

BPA Mock Offseason

FA Signings:

1a. Kyle Fuller CB Bears- 4 yrs/55Mil/24GTD

1b. Prince Amukamara CB Bears- 3 yrs/30Mil/12GTD

2.  Josh McCown QB Jets- 3 yrs/ 36 Mil/ 12 GTD (AJ Mccaron loses his grievance; we turn to McCown on what amounts to a 2 year team/cap friendly contract).

3. Terrelle Pryor WR Washington- 4 yrs/ 32Mil/ 14GTD

4. Carlos Hyde RB 49ers - 3 yrs/ 21 Mil/ 8GTD

5. Cordy Glenn RT Buffalo - Cap casualty as Buffalo can save a ton by cutting him, and it's been reported he will be traded/released. 4 yrs/ 45 Mil/ 14 GTD

6. Jordan Matthews WR Buffalo- 4 yrs/ 25Mil/ 12 GTD - Josh Gordon and Corey Coleman can't be relied upon due to addiction and injury issues respectively. Therefore, we need to sign multiple, reliable pass catchers that can provide starter impact (Both Matthews and Richardson provide that). Pryor can reclaim his impact that he provided on the Browns and be a WR2.

7a. Paul Richardson WR Seattle- 4 yrs/ 25Mil/ 12 GTD

7b. Tamba Hali DE Chiefs-2 yrs/15Mil/ 7 GTD

-------------------------------------

The Draft

**** Philosophy: Create as many positional units that can be a decisive force on the field.

1(1) Browns Select: Sam Darnold QB USC

1(2) New York Giants select Josh Rosen QB UCLA

1(3) Indianapolis Colts select Saquon Barkley RB Penn State

1(4) Browns Select: Minkah Fitzpatrick SS/NCB Alabama -- Gregg Williams decides Jabrill will stay in FS limbo or he'll force Minkah to play FS

***Trade**** Both of our early 2nd round picks traded for late 1st round picks; Give up both 4th round picks and future considerations. We traded a 4th round pick to trade up from the 2nd to the 1st last year to select David Njoku. So, we essentially do that trade twice this year.

**1(27) Browns Select: Billy Price C Ohio State

**1(28) Browns Select: Mike McGlinchey LT Notre Dame

2, Browns Select: Mike Hughes CB UCF (Off-field concerns drop him to the 2nd round)

3. Browns Select: Mark Andrews TE Oklahoma (Not going to test well will fall to end of round 2 or top of round 3 given TE talent depth)

5. Browns Select: Mark Walton RB Miami (Ankle and knee injury concerns drop him in the draft along with RB talent pool depth).

5. Browns Select: Duke Dawson CB Florida // Darious Williams CB UAB

This is one of the best first two rounds Mocks I have seen yet that wasnt made by a Browns fan!

https://www.guybostonsports.com/posts/nasons-2018-nfl-mock-draft-60-2-round-offseason-edition

  • 1.1 Darnold USC QB
  • 1.4 Barkley PSU RB
  • 2.33 Harrison Bama S
  • 2.35 Kirk A&M WR
  • 2.64 Jackson LSU DB

I like Harrison a lot. I'm a fan of this safety class. Minkah, Derwin (though I like Harrison and Watts a little more than him).

I really dont like the top two safeties. Not a fan of Minkah and Derwin. I like Harrison and Watts. I liked Watts a lot more last year but I like Harrison more than him now.

I think Richardson is definitely a target. An athletic WR with playmaker potential. I think he could really thrive as a featured target.

I think Minkah is going to be a fantastic player. If I knew I could get Harrison or Watts in round 2 I'd take one of them and trade down from 4 though.

I think so too but we already have a Minkah on the team and his name is Peppers. If the Browns didnt have Peppers, I think I would be all about the Minkah hype train

Exactly if we had Malik Hooker instead of Peppers I would love the idea of Minkah even more so than Barkley possibly
