He was sitting on the FA market for months,we signed him for next to nothing. I don't think it was months,it was weeks and it was just after the 2016 season started. Teams were already set with their rosters by the point when he got cut as one of the last cuts of the Vikings in 2016. Sullivan also had missed most of the 2015 season with back surgeries while he was at the vikings so that was a concern for teams as well. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/17424725/vikings-release-center-john-sullivan-8-year-vet
lavar703
To be honest, there's nothing left in free agency that is even entertain other than DRC. Retain Junior Galette and lets go after Guice, Payne or Vea in the first. This hasn't been the ideal off-season but whatever. Zach Brown is back and they didn't ruin the third round pick they'll get next year for Kirk.
Dashing202
Umm so can we bring in atleast Suh for a visit just to talk about something . Even a Navarro Bowman.

Traded for a good veteran qb to stabilize the position for the immediate future - next 3 to 5 or 6 years - Zach Brown retained, Dunny retainer, Paul Richardson signed and build through the draft. That’s fine by me! I know this won’t make you in particular happy, but I think we should re-sign Lauvao on the cheap and Kouandjio to compete for the starting LG job with a rookie we draft and we should re-sign Phil Taylor on the cheap to compete with a rookie we draft for the starting NT position. Eric
Just hold serve at this point, extend Preston Smith maybe or another in house guy to avoid overpaying next season

Just like with retaining Bree, it depends on the cost. I’m sure Bowman would like to play with Alex Smith again though and finish what they started in San Fran. If Suh were to be signed for sure we’d cut McClain or McGee and maybe both. Not a big deal, Suh is worth both them and more obviously, that goes w/o saying. Eric
THIS will be an awesome off-season if in the draft we land 2 of the following Vea, Payne, Settle, Guice, Jones, Michel, Chubb, and Penny. My wildcard in the 2nd would be Braden Smith who would be plug and play left guard. By miracle we get our 3rd rounder somehow I'll take Payne, Smith, and Kerryon all day

We really should trade down in round 2 and recoup a 3rd. https://www.google.com/amp/www.sportingnews.com/amp/nfl/news/nfl-free-agency-2018-best-players-available-remaining-left-market/qaqobi49q71c1hkjfe9be1115 Here is a list of the best available free agents in positions we need: RUNNING BACKS Player Age DeMarco Murray 30 Darren Sproles 34 Eddie Lacy 27 Shane Vereen 28 Frank Gore 34 Adrian Peterson 32 Jamaal Charles 31 Damien Williams 25 Terrance West 27 Alfred Morris 29 Lance Dunbar 28 LeGarrette Blount 31 Cedric Peerman 31 Orleans Darkwa 26 Andre Ellington 29 C.J. e16bball
Remember that released players don’t count for the compensatory picks formula. So if we let Breeland and Grant walk (still) and signed Orlando Scandrick and Jeremy Maclin (just as an example), we would be +2 in terms of possible comp picks. This is the part of the season where I think you have to make smart choices when it comes to these picks. You don’t hold back from signing a top-end player that you envision being a key contributor for years because of comp picks — but when you’re adding these short-term plug-in guys, I think you need to keep the picks in mind. And though I said it was just an example above, I actually would look hard at both Maclin and Scandrick. I like Maclin and his experience with Smith as a #4 guy who would be the first up in case of injury. And I like Scandrick to give us some plug and play ability in the slot. They’re both feisty personality guys with a little bit of an edge to them — and I think we need more of that too. On both sides of the ball.
