Stroud would need to rack up playoff and SB wins in order for that to happen - although - with the historically bad way CHI puts an OL together, you have to wonder how Mahomes would have fared if he'd been drafted there. A legitimate reason to bench Young is just because Andy Dalton is a known quality and allows you to evaluate "okay, is the problem with Young that the OL is bad, or that the WRs are bad, or that he is bad?" by potentially ruling out those first two things.
