Dov Kleiman: Bills are hosting former Packers Safeties Josh Jones and Kentrell Brice, former Buccaneers 2nd round pick LB/DE Noah Spence and former Vikings 1st round WR Laquon Treadwell, per various reports.

Maybe they’ll take them up to the booth to push the “train horn “ button.

That’s why I wanted to just keep him.  Philosophically I hate paying money to not have someone on the roster.

I know Perry 97% sucked, but to keep him as an emergency pass rusher... Cannot convince me that some fringe roster guy is better than Perry.

We saved 3 million to lose 11 million.

Probably because he’s getting paid 11 million.

Not gonna argue on this one because he really did suck, but him sucking is better than somebody else sucking.

He also could have been a good situational pass rusher if he wasn’t the starter and always getting injured.

You never know.

The Packers actually didn't pay him anything for 2019. The $11.1M cap charge is just the amortization for the last three years of his signing bonus accelerated into 2019's salary cap. When the Packers release their financials for the 2019 football season/2020 fiscal year ( 4/1/19 - 3/31/20), Perry wont be on the books.

What the Packer did do was pay Perry in and around $27M for the 2017 and 2018  football seasons/2018 and 2019 fiscal years. Obviously, that didn't work out.
