Clowney has told people he wants to be in Seattle. Still some hoops to jump through, but it’s headed toward him getting his wish. Interesting. TheOnlyThing
Schneider bringing in Clowney certainly would make things more interesting out West. 44 minutes ago, Packerraymond said: Can we stop sending the top AFC pass rushers to the NFC? Damnit. Dee Ford, Frank Clark, Chandler Jones, Clowney, Khalil Mack. All top end pass rushers recently traded.
MacReady
Rule changes are making EDGE rush less important than interior pass rush. I shouldn't say less important, but the scales are changing rapidly from where that difference was at before. That's one reason why I'm glad we've got Pettine, Gary, and Z. Smith. These trades are kinda showing that. When would premier pass rushers have been traded in past NFL seasons? It never really happened. Now, as TOT pointed out, Ford, Clark, Jones, Clowney, Mack... And the Bears paid the highest price since they got the trend started. If the Seahawks traded any offensive linemen for Clowney, it's a cutting off your nose to spite your face type of move. Cheesehawk
And there it’s official. Clowney to Seahawks
Green19
Seattle honestly gave up nothing... basically a 3rd. Wonder if it’s a rental or they give him the money he wants.
green machine
A 3rd, plus LBs Martin and Mingo. Surprised that the Seahawks didn't have to give up an OL.
Norm
I wanted to say Schneider>Gute as a joke but his drafting blows goats since the drunken master left

One for the draft one for trades. is co GM a thing? Because we should aim for that. Edited August 31, 2019 by Green19

deltarich87
It appears that not having an actual GM is....predictably a bad thing. Good lord Houston
packfanfb
So Texans traded Clowney for a ham sandwich.
Norm
If they got that for Clowney why did Gute get nothing for Josh Jones???!
Leader
Adam Schefter: Here's the news Dallas has wanted: Talks between the Cowboys and RB Ezekiel Elliott are intensifying, with both sides aiming to wrap up a new deal this weekend. (It's the old "Just got off the phone with LeSean" negotiating ploy)
MantyWrestler
Houston gets veteran DEs Barkevious Mingo and Jake Martin, as well as a 3rd round pick in 2020 for Clowney. Would you have given Preston Smith, Dean Lowery and a 3rd for Clowney? I would and that seems like more than Seattle gave.
MacReady
Clowney was traded for only a third round pick because the Texans weren't re-signing him and they chose to get a 3rd round pick for him now rather than a third round pick for him next year as a compensatory pick. The Seahawks also cannot re-sign Clowney. Can't even technically negotiate with Clowney.
