If Ted could have drafted literally anyone decent to put next to Clay not named Zombo, Walden, So'oto, Moses, etc Rodgers would've gotten some more from 2011-2014. Perry sucked for the first few years too. Mahomes has Clark and Jones under contract. As long as injuries don't ruin it, they'll be a dynasty for 3 years yet. Someone named Julius Peppers had 7 sacks, 2 interceptions for 2 touchdowns and 3 fumble recoveries in the 2014 regular season. Added 2.5 more plus 2 forced fumbles in the post season. Maybe you've heard of him. He added 18 sacks over the next two years, too. Chris Jones you say? Neat. Aaron Rodgers had Ryan Pickett and BJ Raji on the DL in 2011. They added Mike Daniels the next year. They also had Bishop, Burnett, Woodson, Shields, Tramon Williams and Nick Collins on the roster at the start of 2011. Clifton and Bulaga. Cobb/Driver/Jennings/Nelson. Finley, too. Ryan Grant was there, too. They added a tackle in the first round. Crazy how having a QB good enough to get you in the 24-32 draft range and paying him a top QB contract made it tough to replace: Retiring LT. Retiring TE. Retiring S. Retiring DL. Retiring WR. Not being able to pay two receivers and letting one go (Jennings). Just crazy how that works. The Packers in 2011 were in better shape than the Chiefs could possibly hope to be right now with all that talent on the roster. After 2010, the Packers picked 32nd, 28th, 26th, 21st, 30th and 27th overall in the draft.

Not sure if Bishop even played a down that next year. Woodson broke his collarbone...again. Ryan Pickett? Dude has what like 5 career sacks and your comparing him to Chris Jones or Frank Clark? The Packers secondary was better than the current Chiefs. The current Chiefs front 7 blows ours away. We're talking 3 years here, stop being so argumentative. Rodgers had crap luck for those 3 years after. Bishop, Woodson and Collins stay healthy, Raji doesn't regress and we find room for Jenkins cap and he would have 1-2 more rings.

That's... That's... That's my point. What part about this are you not understanding? We won the Super Bowl. Our offense and defense looked stacked. We were ready to be a dynasty. Collins - done. Woodson - not the same after 2011. Raji retired. Matthews was never the same as far as an elite EDGE rusher. Bishop wasn't that good. Telling me to stop when you don't even get what I'm saying is just bad. You should feel bad. Quote The Packers secondary was better than the current Chiefs. Or if Rodgers wasn't paid so much we could have survived the losses of those players or replaced them. We didn't re-sign Jenkins purely BECAUSE of how much we were paying Rodgers. There's one way to win Super Bowls in today's NFL: Cap health, draft capital. Can't get either of those when you're paying your QB who is good enough to get you in the 24-32 range. Chili
49ers have just signed JJ Nelson and Tavon Austin. Two speedsters. Similar offensive systems but very different approaches to WRs.
MacReady
In NFL News from tomorrow today, Out of the Cowboys, Seahawks, Rams, Niners, Colts, Buccaneers, Steelers, 0 teams will win the Super Bowl. Out of the Saints, Titans, Steelers, Packers, Vikings, Eagles, Bills, Chiefs, Texans and Ravens, one team will win the Super Bowl. Mahomes gave the Chiefs a chance to win two more rings. This year and next year. After that the Chiefs can wave goodbye to legitimate chances at winning.

Stacked teams overcome injuries because they are stacked because they were loaded with cap space and draft capital. The Chiefs lost arguably their second best DB before the playoffs started this year. The Patriots lose 10,000 players to injury a year and still compete because they’re able to pay the back end of their roster while other teams have to fill that back end with undrafted rookies and journeymen. Brat&Beer
Houston announces no fans for home opener. Washington and Jacksonville probably feel no need to make an announcement.

They still have Lamar Jackson in the playoffs. His decision-making will need to get better before they threaten the Chiefs. He's not there yet.
