ThatJerkDave
Shoot, that is almost 15 years ago... Work out more. Work out every day. Smile more, and be more pleasant, and outgoing. Have 3 or 4 drinks when you go out, not 7 or 10. Don't go out every night. If I had cut my alcohol consumption in half in my twenties, I would have both saved and earned more money, and probably had just as much fun. [edit] of course, this is also dependent on 21 year old me listening.
sunnygsm
Learn more programming. Use the internet less. That period from when I was 18 to now was when the internet exploded. It's so easy to warp one's sense of reality with it.

Tugboat
I'd definitely go back and tell myself to go back to focusing on a degree in the field i originally set out to pursue, but at a completely different school than i had intended to (and the one i eventually went to for a different degree instead). And to have way more fun in college.

We'll see how things shake out after my wife finishes school in about a year (she was about 35 when she left medical billing, and will be a BCBA in about a year... wasn't easy, but worth it). I'll answer the door when you get here... The grass isn't always greener on the other side, and jumping over the fence to find out could have serious, long lasting negative effects on yourself as well as others. Even if you're a good, decent, kind, loving person 99% of the time, that one time when you betray someone's trust could outweigh all of the good, and do irreparable damage. Communication is key. Healthy communication can help you to resolve or even avoid a lot of problems. Also, take better care of yourself. Eat better (at least a little better), drink less alcohol, and keep working out. Diabetes is no joke.
Hunter2_1
Mine would be to specialise in something. I decided to go through education picking courses and degrees that provided many transferable skills. Consequently, I can do a number of things quite well, but haven't got that one thing I can do very well. When you go for jobs, employers prefer that one thing very well. RedRider
To my 21 year old self I would say, "There are a lot of things I need to tell you, but you're too much of a punk to listen, so I'm gonna split." Other than that, I'd warn of all the terrible accidents my family and friends have been in since then so that I could stop those things from happening. 43M
1) Finish all your electives and brush up on Math while in the Navy. 2) Take more pictures of your time in the Navy and Hawaii....you'll want those captured memories later. 3) Dont spend your money on stupid things like an expensive computer, snorkel gear and a flashy motorcycle that youll only use for 6 months. 4) If you're PTing on the beach one day within the next year or so and you drop to do pushups, do not fall straight forward with all your bodyweight with your arms locked.....you will suffer a severe shoulder injury that will essentially end your military career. 5) Just say no to Valerie.
