I feel like even if they caught Urban on camera admitting he covered it up, you may be one who questions whether it wasn't all CGI or something.

Not at all, if he had an actual part in covering up abuse, he should be fired. I honestly doubt he knew the whole story. Also it's not like he was witnessing the abuse at a BBQ or defeating Smith's actions. Smith was let go in fact. No one is trying to rally to keep his job. Smith is the bad guy here.

That is all

"Our preliminary investigation reveals there is an unexplained one-hour time period when nothing significant was done to avoid the complications of heatstroke," Murphy said. "Although there is some evidence they allegedly tried to cool him down, he should have been iced immediately. He presented at the hospital with a temperature of 106, which means he was not cooled down.

"We're very concerned about the unexplained one hour between the time of the seizure and hyperventilating that was observed by a coach, and what happened in that remaining hour before the EMT people were actually called. This points to an utter disregard of the health of this player, and we are extraordinarily concerned that the coaches did not react appropriately to his injury."

Absolutely tragic.

love it how Michigan football spokesman trying to say it wasnt players. If players knew they could sell their shoes between $4-5k, they would  be def think about doing it. That is a great return. Specially when they can get a new pair later on in the year or the following season prolly.

Don't think he's saying it's definitely not Michigan players, just that it might not be (could also be former players doing it). Just as an example, when they switched to Jordan, they sent out these special cases with a personalized jersey and a pair of Jordans to people like Mark Wahlberg, Chris Webber, and Kate Upton. Guess we'll see. They generally mark shoes they give to the players in some way to distinguish who they belong to, so if that's on any of the shoes available online, should be something that can be checked (assuming the players can't remove them).

As stupid as it is to not be able to sell your own property, it's pretty much what happened with OSU (in addition to UNC and others), so yeah, players "deserve" suspensions if involved.

Yeah if it was something given to the player, they should be able to do anything they want with it. Sell’em or keep’em.

again tho it could turn into a paying scheme. Schools can just say, we are not giving players money but just keep giving them extra gear. Thus allowing them to easily sell them and making cash off of it.

or have a policy like anything team issued isn’t allowed to be sold, but goodie bags earned from going to a bowl game, that’s fair game to be sold on the secondary market

Oregon had an issue with this, and I think they made it where you get to have the shoe, but it's still school property until you graduate, which may be a better way of doing it.

And now Durkin is an admin leave pending another investigation.  More Maryland staffers could be held accountable as well.  Only a few people have been outspoken in his defense, including Will Muschamp and one former player.  Muschamp has said that the anonymous sources should've put their name to statements, while the former player thinks they could be scholarship players who were caught in the middle of the coaching change who wanted to be a part of the team, but not really play or contribute......whatever that means.

If any part of this is proven true, Durkin and a whole slew of other coaches are out, at a time when Maryland should be celebrating some good recruiting classes and finally turning the program around......though if this is how you turn the program around, obviously that's not how you want it done.

Non-contact injury to his left knee after tearing an ACL in his right knee last year.

ACL confirmed. Out for the year.

At least it happens at maybe the deepest position on the team. Swift, Holyfield, Cook, and Herrien should still be one of the best backfields in the country.
