Trading expiring contracts for something when your team isnt going to compete anyways is a good way for the weak teams to try to improve through the draft the following year while the competitive teams get something to win this year. I dont see an issue nor how this effects the integrity of the league. Every professional sport with trading capabilities does this. Plus we can only 3UP 3 players anyways. Jordan Phillips has been on a roster for every game of the year and has been listed as a FA for a while.
