We backloaded his final year. Everyone wanted to do the same thing as we want to do with Clay now. Add a year or two to his deal and spread out the pay.

Julius Peppers contact....that was not backloaded.

Give me a name of a FA, BUT I'm going to eliminate everyone we've signed because in my opinion they don't qualify.

I disagree with you, I think you are wrong and I'm going to leave it at that. There's no changing your mind and you aren't going to change mine.

You're wrong on no changing my mind.  Trumaine Johnson in Green and Gold changes my mind.  Danielle (sp) Hunter next year changes my mind.  Stefon Diggs in free agency next year changes my mind.  One example to disrupt my narrative changes my mind.  Reggie White was the exception, and the rule is that 27 year old men about to get paid 10-20 million dollars a year (depending on the year) don't pick Green Bay, Wisconsin.

No doubt. Jones, Hawk, among others. At the same time, you have people mad we let too many guys go too, then we signed other guys and it backfired too. I wanted Cobb back, I didn't like that contract much though. There's multiple ways to **** this **** up.

Definitely misses, but not too bad over such a long period of time.  The real mistake is these cases was not moving on soon enough.

We certainly did overpaid for Graham.  He wasn't much better than mediocre last year and he's now the highest paid TE in the league.  He's no where near the caliber of TE as Ertz, Gronk or Kelce yet we're foolishly paying him for past production.  He looked broken down last year and now he's being paid like a perennial All pro.

The guy had 10 TDs last year in a terrible offense.

1 million base versus 8.5 and 7 doesn't look backloaded to you?

If free agents were only 27 year old or younger I'd agree. However age was not a qualifier in the argument.

Another benefit of Wilkerson, assuming he returns to form, is what it may mean to our LB's. They may stay cleaner which is awesome. Martinez and Matthews (if you give him inside snaps) should be able to play fast and make some explosive plays

Man if we can get 2016 Mo Wilk, we're gonna wreck havoc on that DL.

I mean, we signed him primarily because he's an inside pass rusher and he was "awful" in 2016 and 2017 yet had 4.5 and 3.5 sacks each of those years respectively. That's basically the similar or better sack production than our interior pass rushers on a "great" year for them. Now what if Wilkerson plays just a little bit better this year?
