NFL people are such  hypocrites. Cut Worely for an arrest and being combative with police but Reuben Foster beats and drags his girlfriend like my 2 year old does her barbies and they are willing to let the legal process play out. Shun Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid for being vocal about something important to them and being peaceful in every way about it, but hey Reuben Foster its cool to treat women like a dead Christmas tree on its way to the wood chipper after the new year.

Not fair, but it's called talent. You have enough of it, teams will make excuses for you until they can't any longer. And there is an "innocent until proven guilty" factor that gets overlooked. But yes, DV is a hot button issue and the 9ers look ridiculous given their past in dealing with these issues. And we all know how it plays out..... settlement to the victim... and he's likely back to playing after the NFL makes an example of him with a suspension. Say you've learned a lesson and America will standby until your next incident.

I get your point and agree with your overall sentiment(which I'll stray away from per the forum rules), but you're comparing a fringe player with no dead cap hit on his contract to a former 1st round pick who would take a 1.6M cap hit.

Yes, it does seem ridiculous to prioritize money/well being of the team over real-life instances but the NFL is, and always will be, a business first and foremost program.

Really needs to be addressed in the new CBA. Teams should be able to void a contract if a player is convicted of a serious crime (felony). Hard and fast. You screw up big, you loose big. Put the onus on the players to act like responsible adults.

Sounds serious. Apparently he was found passed out in his vehicle on the highway. Also sounds like he could be out of a job. The Eagles just traded Torrey Smith to the Panthers for him.

"Traded" is a very strong word. lol

Counter argument is that by not giving a team an out means they should do more homework on the player before signing them. Alternatively, they put it into the contract with the player, and if the player balks, the team has to make a decision on how much risk they are willing to take.

Reports don't say that HE stopped his car to rest. It says his car was stopped and blocking the highway. I'm assuming he stopped at a red light (or something similar) and accidentally fell asleep while he was waiting for it to turn green.

why in the world world would someone assume that? thats really getting creative and making up your own story in your head.
