Adam Schefter of ESPN shared word of the retirement, with John Keim of ESPN.com adding that Hall is "weighing offers to join a front office or work in TV." Hall spent the past 10 seasons with the Washington Redskins primarily as a cornerback, although he saw action at safety as well.

PARROTHEAD
Just replace the witch is dead with the Hall is retired. And that would be the level of joy of the situation. To only be matched by Bruce Allen saying the same.
MikeT14
Thanks for everything D Hall. I'll never forget the 4 INT Jay Cutler game.

turtle28
We may not have made the playoffs in 2015 w/o his scoop and score vs the Eagles. He wasn’t always the best cover guy but he is one of the best playmakers and turnover machines in the history of the NFL. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/news/football-insider/wp/2018/05/14/redskins-deangelo-hall-retires-after-14-seasons/ Hall’s 43 career interceptions ranked first among active players and 63rd in NFL history. He returned five of those for touchdowns, the 31st most all-time. Hall spent nine full seasons in Washington and was the longest tenured player on the roster. He joined the team in 2008 as one of the most dominant cornerbacks in the league and switched to safety late in his career. His 23 interceptions in his time with the Redskins are 10th in franchise history. Since Hall was a rookie in 2004, only Ed Reed (52), Charles Woodson (49) and Asante Samuel (49) have had more interceptions.

bigdog44
He was stellar at times for us, but this was long overdue. Quick contest who can name his partners at corner
HTTRDynasty
So dramatic. I love him, but this is classic D Hall: Unless this is just the Redskins wanting to do what the Cowboys did for Witten and throw him a more official retirement send-off. lavar703
One of my favorite Hokies and Redskins of all-time. It’s time for him to walk away but I’m sure he’ll be a success in whatever he chooses to do post football.
