Defensive back DeAngelo Hall announced his retirement from the NFL Monday at the age of 34 after a 14-year career.

Adam Schefter of ESPN shared word of the retirement, with John Keim of ESPN.com adding that Hall is "weighing offers to join a front office or work in TV."

Hall spent the past 10 seasons with the Washington Redskins primarily as a cornerback, although he saw action at safety as well.

We may not have made the playoffs in 2015 w/o his scoop and score vs the Eagles. He wasn’t always the best cover guy but he is one of the best playmakers and turnover machines in the history of the NFL.

Hall’s 43 career interceptions ranked first among active players and 63rd in NFL history. He returned five of those for touchdowns, the 31st most all-time.

Hall spent nine full seasons in Washington and was the longest tenured player on the roster. He joined the team in 2008 as one of the most dominant cornerbacks in the league and switched to safety late in his career. His 23 interceptions in his time with the Redskins are 10th in franchise history. Since Hall was a rookie in 2004, only Ed Reed (52), Charles Woodson (49) and Asante Samuel (49) have had more interceptions.

He was stellar at times for us, but this was long overdue. Quick contest who can name his partners at corner

Ohhhh... starters? Smoot, Springs (maybe? did he start with him?), Rogers,  J Will, Breeland
