How do the Dallas Cowboys get back to 1990s-level dominance/Super Bowl contention?

90s level dominance is asking for a LOT. That Cowboys team was a dynasty, and it's not like they have another Herschel Walker to trade for a ton of guys...

They can't for numerous reasons. First and foremost Jerry Jones, may he live forever with a "mind of a 40 year old"! Followed by the Greatness of the Clapper (see above). Ending with the fact they don't have 6-7 future HOF on the roster.

Fix all 3 of those and you're at least on the way.

Think the HW trade is probably a bit part of why you don't see those super elaborate trades as much anymore.  Biggest since is probably the RG3 trade?  Which similarly didn't pan out for the team giving up a lot for one guy.

Even if they wanted to trade Zeke, the market for a RB even if they were equally skilled/talanted just isn't what it was in Walker's day. It's become so much more of a passing league, and you are finding fewer and fewer workhorse backs instead teams are going to stables.

The only way to build a dominant dynasty in today's NFL is to get an elite QB and build from there. I'm not sure if Dak is that player.

Considering we've only seen 2 Dynasty's in the last 25 years (90' Cowboys / 00 Patriots), even that's a stretch.

Dynasty might be more over used to describe teams these days then the word Elite for QB's. There aren't but a select few, in both cases!!

In terms of Football, I've always heard a dynasty described as 3 titles in a 4 year period.

in the next 10/15 years, the only way I see it happening is

A) Finally ditch Garrett

B) Continue to edge Jerry out like they have for the last couple years.

C) Hope Nick Saban gets bored or get investigated at Bama

D) Reel that fish in

E) Let him do his job and sit up in that booth filled with all the ugly branches from that Jerruh tree and learn to just shut the hell up

F) Actually become a somewhat stable franchise

Packers have what people argue as the most talented QB...ever and they only have 1 Super Bowl appearance which was 8 years ago.

having a a fairly crappy staff around him and never really fixing big issues on offense around Rodgers played a big part in that

Everything they do they do on the back of him and amazingly he's carried them to somewhat success since the super bowl
