BayRaider
Details not yet disclosed. If it's the 3rd the Bears gave us I might just be done with this team for a while...

BayRaider
Someone explain this to me, Gruden trades Mack away so he must think we're not a contender. Yet he trades for a backup QB? Why would you trade for a backup unless we are a contender.
riceman80
A 5th for a guy who's no better than EJ or Cook Im glad im buzzed already.
holyghost
For a 5th. For potentially, a Maurice Hurst. Bill Callahan was dead on all those years ago - dumbest team in football. Or was it dumbest sports franchise on earth? Either works.

Mr Raider
I think McCaron makes sense. I do think hes better than Manuel and Cook, but I doubt so much better that its worthy of giving up a 5th round pick. I'll just say I'll be slightly more confident if DC goes down with AJ than I would be with EJ. But not by much.
NickButera
I mean, if this shores up our backup QB spot, worth it. But who knows if it does. McCarran really hasn't proven much.
big_palooka
Easy to laugh at the McCarron trade given everything else. But he flashed some potential previously and is an upgrade over Cook in the backup spot.

But the 5th round pick is dismal. Should have been a 7th and no more. Indisputably the worst team in football negotiating trades, and have been for decades no matter who is in charge of it. I don't understand how the dysfunction of an organization can persist even through power changes. It's astounding. BayRaider
So what week does Gruden bench Carr for McCarron? Right after he signs Tim Brown as our #1 WR?
