I mean, realistically there is absolutely no reason to expect a fair split of the calls in the position the Rams are in.

You're playing a (record-wise) underdog... on the road... with a future HOF starting at QB.  Refs will be influenced by the crowd and (barring certain narrative franchises or personal biases) are predisposed to favor the underdog subconsciously.  So you have one of either two courses of action: Throw caution to the win and cheat... and let the chips fall where they may or execute perfectly.
