Worst contract in the NBA right now

Hayward's deal is certainly not the worst deal in the NBA right now. He has performed at an All-Star level and was the #1 option for Utah when they were the 4th seed in the West and went to the second round. We'll have to wait and see how he plays as he fully recovers from that gruesome leg injury.

Andrew Wiggins, on the other hand, has never performed at an All-Star level and has regressed big time during the last two seasons. He was a 24 ppg guy two years ago, an 18 ppg guy last season, and is averaging 15 ppg on 36% FG this year.

Hayward has 3 yr/$98.1M left on his deal while Wiggins has 5 yr/$139.5M left on his deal. Boston isn't invested in Hayward long-term they only have 2 more years on his deal after this season with the final year being a player option. Minnesota, on the other hand, is stuck with Andrew Wiggins for 4 more years following this season and it will likely be impossible for them to move his contract.
