jackson and collins for Ingram and call it a day

This is literally one of the most illogical statements I have ever heard. Your hate for Lamar Jackson is disgusting and absurd to make such a statement.

Ingram is coming off of a suspension and is turning 30 next season (the decline number for RBs), yet we should offer him 1st round value PLUS a solid RB??

?????????

If LJ8 isn’t here, is Flacco even playing to this level? History would tell us not. I personally believe he would’ve bounced back, but he’s been playing 2012 playoff level.

you laugh, but if flacco continues to play like this, he will play out his contract here

Even if Flacco continues to play to this level until 2022, Jackson would still be under contract and would now be an incredibly experience QB prospect. OR some other team in between now and then will be in need of a QB and could be willing to offer multiple 1st round picks for Lamar Jackson (especially if it’s a bad year for QBs and a front office is on the hot seat), OR the most likely scenario. Flacco doesn’t continue to perform to this level 3 years down the road and he gets traded for a high round pick (2nd/3rd) as the Lamar Jackson era begins.

we got the talent to make a decent run this year and collins has proved so far this year that last year was an anomaly. Trade jackson now while he has value for a rb who can run after contact and scored 12 tds last season. Lamar Jackson isnt helping this team win now

Actually he is. Lamar Jackson and the pressure of those option sets has already increased our red zone efficiency with regards to running the football.

You also failed to mention how Mark Ingram, almost 30 and coming off suspension is worth the value of at least a 1st round pick and even Collins could probably net a 6th round pick from a RB needy team (if not a conditional 5th).

Please explain how that value even remotely makes sense? If not, there’s no need for me continuing to debate with someone who clearly has other biases regarding Lamar Jackson outside of just his football ability and team value.

RG3 at Baylor:

 - 4 years, 528 rush attempts, 2254 ryds, 4.3 avg, 33 rTDs. Torn acl in 2009 and history of soft tissue durability concerns.

LJ8 at Louisville:

- 3 years, 655 rush attempts, 4132 ryds, 6.3 avg, 50 rTDs. No history of durability concerns. Clearly one player was an athlete and the other is a weapon.

What’s more RG3 is cheeper because he’s on a one year prove it deal, even then he’s only 700k cheaper. Next season he will likely see backup money in the $4-5m range. Ultimately making LJ8 the cheaper backup option as well.

Thus again, your logic is flawed and found wanting.

Despite you not liking him as a prospect, the Ravens value his upside (the x% chance he becomes a franchise QB) as worth a first round pick.

So, evaluation aside, this is a laughable suggestion, unless you want to make the case that Ingram is worth a first plus Collins.

But on the topic of Jackson future in the league, we are seeing throughout the league how offensive schemes are making things easy for QBs to attack defenses. Mitch Trubisky had a 6 TD outing!!! It's the same point I made about how Foles winning the super bowl shattered the excuses for teams not putting a QB in a position to succeed. I feel real good about having the best athlete at the position in development.

with those stats, maybe we should just switch jackson to rb and see what he can do
