Also worth noting that TB has enough cap space for a specific Jets defender now O.o

If TB is only team that interests Leo then Jets have no leverage of getting better value. 4th round pick and be done with it?:S

YOU DON"T TRADE LEO FOR NOTHING JUST TO MOVE HIM!  He grades out as one of the best run stoppers in the league and gets pressure up the middle. If he would have collected 3 or 4 more sacks some of you guys would have changed your tone on him.

Totally agree that I don’t want to trade Leo.

BUT.... he’s not nearly as good as you’re making him out to be. I know he’s just 1 guy... but we were 26th in the NFL in rush defense. So something wasn’t working.

Nobody is saying that we should trade Leo.  Rich Cimini reported that as long as Gase is here long-term, Leo will not be.

Cimini is trying to stir the pot. Leo is in a contract year so naturally there will be questions about his future.

Eh, it's hard to say honestly.  Realistically, are we spending 25-30 mil/year on 3 d-linemen for the next few years?

We can get out of Henry’s deals after year 1. Leo is possibly the best (possibly Mosley) or second best player on this front 7 unless Q outplays him. Sign Leo and figure out the rest. Q is on a rookie deal and so will Polite.

Anderson is expendable after next year I’m assuming. I do wonder what kind of contract Leo will warrant on the open market.

We can't keep drafting good players in round 1, firing the GM/coach and then having the new FO move on from them because they don't fit their vision of the team.  It turns into a revolving door of mediocrity.

Agreed. Consistency has to start this year. The new GM and Gase need to implement a plan and we need to see it through for once. If it works, we’re going to contend and if it doesn’t then and only then do you start over.

We may get lucky that one of the bright talented minds for GM in Douglas knows Gase because yet again we are setting up an arranged marriage which rarely works out having two guys on equal footing with the owner.  It's the only way we're gonna have a chance to do this right is basically by accident at this point.
