CleBrowns07
https://mobile.twitter.com/RapSheet/status/902862620797149184 Sad to see him go. One of my favorite Browns but I can understand the reasoning.
brooks1957
I've got to give the man his due. To fight through (2) groin injuries last season to get back on the field for a 1-15 team says a hell of a lot about his character and how he felt about his teammates. Class act. Bottom line - the injuries just took their toll on Joe.
MSURacerDT55
Makes 100% sense, he some guys just max out their bodies capabilities. I don't think he can get any better this point
CleBrowns07
I'll always remember the heated debates this forum would get into over in NFL Gen about who was better, Joe Haden or Jimmy Smith.

Joe is washed. Made way too much for a 4th CB. They wanted to eat all the cap penalties this year, I guess, because it would have been much cheaper to cut him next year. Teams generally don't comment on injured players, so who knows where Wilson is in his recovery.
Mind Character
Given how much of his contract we've already eaten in 2017...it's tough to think we weren't going to let the man fight this year and prove it.... Loved Joe's effort and his willingness to be a warrior and battle through injury. The injuries took their toll on his athleticism and movement skills for sure Unlike most celebrating this move with cackling laughter...I'm sad to see such a warrior and competitor go, especially given all he's sacrificed physically and mentally for the team and his personal pride He suffered through horrendous teams and horrendous coaches and kept the ship afloat without any real pass rush to assist... With him and likely Brock off the books, that puts us right back in the top 9 in terms of available cap room after this season. Puts us in a great position to have the flexibility to target two big names next year if need be

brownie man
We're building a culture here doing that we can't allow 2 things 1. We can't have Haden play over Taylor, Mccourty, or Boddy because of his name when he's clearly not as good as any of them. 2. We can't build a culture where paying 11 million for a number 4 corner is ok because of his name. Nice guy this was the right move

Nice guy this was the right move How does Brock's 16 million salary to back up Kizer play into number 2? Let's just be honest, he was cut because he wasn't one of the 4-5 best CB's. Don't feel too bad, he was paid handsomely for his time and effort.
