In his long 16-year career LeBron has only averaged more than 8 assists per game four times. 2019 Lakers was one of those four times. He's simply unstoppable...just give him a little bit of help and any team he's on is rather difficult to beat. AD is more than a little bit of help, he's a lotta help. Not only that, the lakers don’t have the depth to rest Kawhi like the raptors did. Lebron needs to play a lighter schedule as well. Wade averaged 22 + 5 both years the Heat won the title and Kyrie averaged 20 + 5 the year the won the title and went off in the finals. It’s extremely difficult to win in today’s NBA with only one playmaker on the floor. AD is definitely a lot of help but he’s a big man, not a guard/playmaker that can handle the rock and create offense for others. He’s clearly one of the greatest of all time but when the playoffs roll around he’ll be 35.5 with 19 seasons of NBA basketball on his body. Do you really want him to be the primary creator/only creator on the team? The Lakers should’ve played it safe and went after Kyrie/Kemba/DLo.
