So they could sign both without going over hard cap? Yikes... Honestly might happen now, there's unfinished business perhaps? They haven't been afraid to go over before. Hopefully KD plays it safe and doesn't risk playing on a 1 year deal in which he could end up playing himself out of a max contract if the achilles permanently stunts him.

KD isn't signing a 1 year deal, especially with this injury. He's about to be 31 and there's no reason to take a 1 year deal when multiple teams, including the Warriors, will offer a 4 year max.

No, they won't trigger a hard cap unless they use the tax payer MLE. The money it would cost with the tax penalty and then the repeater tax penalty will be close to $1 billion after 4 years.

You're smarter than this seminoles.

Chris Paul missing 2 games

Kawhi missing 3.5 games

Draymond missing 1 game

Is not at all comparable to what happened this series. You know there is a massive difference between them.

What about Kawhi missing the series last year as well?

Missing Chris Paul was hugely important and swung the series.

Kawhi was the best player on the floor in 2017 and was running Golden State off their own floor. Him getting Zaza'd changed everything.

Saying any title has an * is ridiculous man.

I'm not arguing those aren't important and potential difference makers. I'm saying it's absolutely not on the level of what Golden State went through.

In the meantime I remember in 1986, my Boston team was on top of the world. Winning the championship with what was possibly one of the greatest seasons ever, and we were getting the second pick of the draft and Len Bias. Boston never won again until about 20 years later. It is amazing how Fortunes can change on a dime. With Boston it was the death of Len Bias, and Reggie Lewis as well. Golden state's dynasty ends with two very bad injuries.. can't explain it other than saying bad things happen sometimes

Just like how we were missing OG anunoby in the rotation? A limping Leonard?
