Cause whoever you want to hit, you just look at them with the shinigami eyes first then hit them. In the context of the game, you'd have to limit such a thing like Shinigami eyes somehow but its definitely possible that it exists nonetheless. Indeed, and if it fails it does absolutely nothing to the target.
