1. Brady Singer, RHP, Florida | R-R | 6-5 | 180
2. Shane McClanahan, LHP, South Florida | L-L | 6-1 | 173
3. Casey Mize, RHP, Auburn | R-R | 6-3 | 208
4. Nick Madrigal, 2B/SS, Oregon State | R-R | 5-7 | 160
5. Jackson Kowar, RHP, Florida | R-R | 6-4 | 170
6. Ryan Rolison, LHP, Mississippi | R-L | 6-2 | 195
7. Logan Gilbert, RHP, Stetson | R-R | 6-5 | 195
8. Travis Swaggerty, OF, South Alabama | R-R | 6-2 | 190
9. Jeremy Eierman, SS, Missouri State | R-R | 6-0 | 195
10. Greyson Jenista, OF, Wichita State | L-R | 6-4 | 240

If his injury issues are behind him, I'm all aboard the Casey Mize train.  Swing and miss stuff, best control in the draft, mid 90's heat.

Bad year for college bats, but the college pitching looks pretty strong this year.

There are always a few college bats that emerge that people didn't quite expect that end up as top 20 picks.  I think it'll be all right in the end.  Madrigal is intriguing, he's small, but his hit tool might be a 70.  In over 500 plate appearances in college he has 30 K's.  He's no Altuve, but I could see him with 10+ HR at the big league level, he's got the bat speed.

I don't share your optimism, but I would like to be proven wrong.
