IDGAF if five OTs go before us. Just means more great players are there at 10, for a team with no shortage of holes. Imagine all 4 OT gone and 2-3 QB, giving us Okudah, Brown, or Simmons (Young will obviously be gone), not to mention maybe a team barely behind us wanting to overpay for one of those guys and we still get a premier player.
cattleman78
I think if 2 o.t's are gone before pick 7 Browns could trade up. Pick 7 worth 1500 points. Picks 10 and 74 worth 1520 points.

cattleman78
It would be a disaster to open the season with a second round o.t. We need an o.t. bad some people value draft picks way to much. Pittsburgh trade up for a line backer last year. candyman why don't you go over to their forum and tell them that was a disaster. They will tell you that you don't know nothing. Pittsburgh is also happy to give up their first rounder this year for safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Are they happy knowing they’ll have a 38 year old QB who just missed an entire season due to an elbow injury? They could have drafted his heir, but oh wait, they traded a first round pick for a damn safety. Then they were dumb enough to use a 1st on a linebacker, a position that’s going extinct like runningbacks.
cattleman78
What q.b could they get this year with a first rounder? Oh they could trade up but in your close mind that would be a disaster. I'd rather trade pick 10 and 74 for a good young o.t. than trade pick 74 for Trent Williams. Like I said go over to the Steelers forum and tell them what you said about them getting Devin Bush and Fitzpatrick. They will laugh at you. About the only time we made out on a trade down recently was with Houston getting pick 4 and a high second. We got a lot of picks from Atlanta. They made out like bandits with Julio Jones who is still playing. That trade was a disaster for the Browns. Good teams like the Pats, Steelers and Ravens are not afraid to trade up if they see a player they like. But you have your opinion
cattleman78
By the way in a 3/4 defense like Pitt runs linebackers are very important. Any body that watches football knows that.
mtmmike
say everything you want about Pittsburgh they were stomped last year and have no picks plus no free agents this year to help. 2 if we draft right Pittsburgh will be forever in are rear view mirror.
cattleman78
Pitt still finished ahead of us. As long as the Steelers have a defense they will be competitive.

But you have your opinion Despite what any Stealers would say I still don’t think those move were good. Devin Bush is going to have to be Boby Wagner good to justify trading up to get him and the Fitzpatrick trade would have made some sense if they had made it while Ben was healthy and they felt like that addition was the missing piece to make a Super Bowl run. I just don’t think investing 2 1sts, a 2nd, and a 3rd into a off ball linebacker and safety is a good thing when you don’t have a long term answer at QB, not to mention they’re getting old in the trenches on both sides of the ball and depending on Joe Haden to stay healthy at CB

Almost everything that could have gone wrong for us last season with very wrong, and I think that defense overachieved a bit last season I think they’ll still be good but I don’t think they force as many turnovers this year
