Also, if the college football season is in doubt, the supplemental draft could be nuts. Here are the big names who could declare if the season is in doubt:

Travis Etienne

Najee Harris

Devonta Smith

Liam Eichenberg

Creed Humphrey

Tyler Shelvin

Dylan Moses

Richard LeCounte

JaCoby Stevens

Might be an opportunity to put our 2 picks each in Rounds 3-5 to good use.

The reality is that the NBA is having a incredibly difficult time getting their season re-started. Theoretically, it should be the easiest team sport to pull this off.

I think college football is in real trouble.

The NFL has some flexibility, because it can start its season whenever it wants to.

I think it helps, too, that the NFL is marketing-driven, advertising revenue dependent and constantly building its brand.

I’m no insider, but my money is on the supplemental draft being held in July.

College football could reach a decision by then and players as well.

Man, the NFL doesn’t mess around. They’re already discussing playing games on saturdays if college football is delayed / cancelled:

I think this could be the biggest supplemental draft ever. With college games being in jeopardy these players might want to get their money now and jump to the nfl.

Exactly.

They get paid based on what “round” they’re taken.

Quote

A player’s draft position also determines how much they will be paid in the NFL. Supplemental draft picks earn the same amount of money as a rookie taken in the same round of the traditional NFL Draft, as determined by the league’s rookie pay scale. For example, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon signed a four-year, $5.3 million contract when he was selected in the second round of the 2012 Supplemental Draft.

July 1st is the magical day to remember.

Don’t the players still have to have 3 years out of high school? A lot of those players above are RS sophomores and Jrs.

I don’t think the they’d be eligible

The status mentioned is what they were last year. As in they’re becoming seniors this year if a season is played.
