Shanahan is a better coach than Gase, but he had a similarly poor start when he took over the 49ers. Offense got better with Jimmy G and as the season progressed, but was a very hard unit to watch through 9 weeks. They’ve built up the offensive line and added players that fit his offense, added a lot of speed at RB, and have a group of complementary WRs.
