Good to hear about Alex Lewis. We need to change out the center and even though Shell isn’t good, Edoga may not be an NFLer. He was absolutely atrocious.

Asking legit..doesn’t Compton have experience at center?

Edoga needs more time but he has to show something.  I don't believe Compton has experience at C at all.

Jets brought Bronson Kaufusi back for PS. I didn't know that so I googled up and found out that Jets claimed Conor McDermott.   Think he will start at RT for Jets against Cowboys?

Imagine, let’s just imagine that Lewis at G and McDermott at RT become quality starters for us.

We could literally rebuild the line in a single off-season by only needing an LT, C and RG.

If so, I can count on Joe Douglas to find other scrap OL to resolve those next said positions. Save draft for skill players. *panting*

Gotta cut Edoga some slack. He had to face savvy veterans in Brandon Graham and Vinny Curry without a RG next to him.

Yeah you are right, but he really looked unathletic. I saw too much Vlad Ducasse out there. He needs to get way stronger to play in this league.

Shanahan/49ers give me hope as a Jets fan. Shanahan is a better coach than Gase, but he had a similarly poor start when he took over the 49ers. Offense got better with Jimmy G and as the season progressed, but was a very hard unit to watch through 9 weeks. They’ve built up the offensive line and added players that fit his offense, added a lot of speed at RB, and have a group of complementary WRs.

Moral of the story: invest heavily in the OL and defense; be strategic and find complementary skill players on offense.

I wanted to say this but was going to get yelled at.
