squire12 Posted December 3, 2022 Share Posted December 3, 2022 Probably a smart move by Leonhard. Was unlikely to get a HC job in power 5. Leaving probably is for a DC position which would be a lateral move. Stay 2-3 years and grow as a coach, learn from a " more compenent" HC and hope to pick your HC job in a few years. What I mean is if this is the average impact, this season and next season represent a pivotal balance of power shift in CFB. It's not an eventuality, it's happening now and if you are a big name coach not doing everything you can to get in any established B1G/SEC job today, you're being left behind. Coach Fickell got a nice ovation at the game when they showed him on the replay screen.
