Depending on which QB you're really pining for, you probably don't want #1 anyway.  Call me nuts all you want, but I really don't feel like Tua's going #1 or is going to be the first QB taken.  With how much the top QB prospects get nitpicked, there are a lot of little factors that have great potential to be things that get held against him: Left-handed, not the strongest arm - note: please don't confuse touch passes on deep throws as a gauge of arm strength, bit of a hitch in his delivery, needs to learn to be more willing to move of his first read and to see/read the deep-lying safety better).  Just about every crack I can see in his game is fixable, but, especially when it comes to QB's, some staffs just can't help themselves when it comes to overthinking things.

Eh

I want the Dolphins to have their choice. In some legwork I did, there's a huge drop off after the 1st QB selected when it comes to "hit rate" for QBs. To sum it up, since 2000 onward, QB hitrates for the 1st QB selected in each draft is 55.55%, which drops to 33.33% for the second QB selected. Other 1st-round QBs have a hit rate of just 14.29% (which is interestingly worse than the 2nd/3rd round hit rate of 15.91%).

Either way, if we're going to select a QB, I want the one the organization feels is the best one.

Some dip**** will fall in love with Herb. I'd bet my house on it.

Either that or Burrow.  And we'll see all the talking heads who normally use the concern about only 1 year of starting service or 1 year of tape to go off as a negative all jump on board and brush that concern aside because one recent drafted rookie found moderate success (and meanwhile Dwayne Haskins looks like he should have returned for another year).

I can't see Burrow's arm surviving the process, he's going to be dissected to hell and back. Herb at least has the "tools" and looks the part. NFL teams never learn these lessons. Mostly because it's the same people making the decisions.

I still think Miami gets the #1 pick. Cincy gets at least two wins.

There are easily 2 wins on Miami's schedule still.  Between the injuries and the trading off of talent, the Jets are nowhere near the sure-to-beat-the-Phins that they once were.  I don't expect it to happen, but I wouldn't be shocked if the Phins beat the Giants Week 15.  Either way, that Week 16 game is likely for the #1 pick - and whether fans want to hear it or not, neither team is going to lay down and actually try to lose that game.
