There's far more running backs with short 2-3 year peaks than there are running backs with 5 years of sustained success. Of course there will be the Christian McCaffery or Ezekiel Elliot who are able to sustain that 5 years of success, but I just don't think its responsible for a GM to pay that type of player when the top 10 rushers in the league are so volatile year by year.
