Sounds as if the Lions are releasing Snacks Harrison.  If the Vikings move on from Linval (for whatever reason), he'd be someone that I would look at as a potential two-down replacement player for our current big man.

Got cut before he could earn an $8.5M base salary, so he might not even be affordable.

Highly likely he’s retiring.

As DT replacements if we cut Linval-

Could we get both Maliek Collins and Andrew Billings for the same 10.5 saved on Linval (OTC evaluations say it is close)? Both are young UFA who played lots of snaps last year- Maliek as our 3T and Billings as the NT.

He brings up some good points, but honestly with Diggs it is not so much being a good teammate as does he really even want to be here or not?  Is he a distraction or not and how committed is he to the team?

Do people forget that quickly that this season he missed several meetings and practices due to undisclosed reasons and they fined him and were very close to suspending him but he did end up playing against Giants.  I think he wants out to a bigger market, if so....bye

Do you think thats its only the players we hear about that don't like the market or cities they play in?

There is probably a pretty strong contingent of players that don't really like their situation but are also in relatively immovable contract situations, like Diggs is.

Besides, to this point, the only indications we have of Diggs wanting out are entirely speculative. But if he walks into the GMs office and says he wants out, Spielman can tell him that's nice, see you in June.

The NFLPA board of player representatives voting approving the owners proposal for vote by the full player body could be huge for the Vikings. First, that increase in cap space will be significant for the Vikings. Second, a new CBA should make it a lot easier to strike a deal with Kirk Cousins on an extension, which could also alleviate the 2020 cap crunch the Vikings are feeling.

It appears to almost be like getting a bill through Congress these days.  Which group of players are the Democrats and which are the Republicans?
