The Raiders weren’t going to go as high as the guaranteed $25 million per year for two years that the Bucs gave the 42-year-old quarterback — the game film the last two years just didn’t warrant that in the Raiders’ minds. But my understanding is that it was more about fit than money for Brady, and the Raiders never got that nod from Brady that they were a serious finalist. If they had, they would have started shopping Carr, So pretty much Brady’s agent was using the Raiders to try to drive up his price as many suggested. Because according to the media, we had an offer out to Brady right after the Super Bowl and we were shopping Carr as early as the combine. Now it's we weren't offering anything close to what was reported and we weren't shopping Carr. Don't ever trust these guys.

If they had, they would have started shopping Carr, so they dont think Bradys play last 2 years is worth 25 mil... but if Brady had come in at Carrs money they would have considered it... Im not buying it, if hes a clear upgrade over Carr they pay him 25, trade Carr and it only costs 5mil. It wasnt money, It was AB I think
