that looks like a strong list of SB losers.all the losers were a top 2 seed, no Cinderella type teams like the 94 Chargers, 03 panthers, 08 cards etc...

Only 3 teams this decade to make the SB were non first round bye teams. 2010 Packers, 2011 Giants, 2012 Ravens

1) 2014 Seahawks

2) 2019 49ers

3) 2016 Falcons

4) 2013 Broncos

5) 2015 Panthers

6) 2017 Patriots

7) 2012 49ers

8) 2010 Steelers

9) 2018 Rams

10) 2011 Patriots

The 2014 Seahawk team was pretty damn good... not too far off from the 2013 team at all.

2019 49ers were also a really fantastic team, although recency bias of the choke job will get them some hate.

2015 Panthers were a fantastic team but they didn't exactly play great defenses that year. I had a lot of money on the Broncos Defense lynch mobbing them.

2014 Seahawks - Arguably the greatest defense of all time.

2019 49ers - Practically a carbon copy of the 2012 team but with a better QB.

2012 49ers - People have completely forgotten how good this team was. Like the 2019 team, this was a very well-balanced team without any glaring weaknesses.

2013 Broncos - Historic offense, average defense that got derailed by injuries. If you replayed that Super Bowl 100 times, the 43-8 beatdown would have been a total anomaly.

2011 Patriots - HORRIBLE defense. However, the offense was in its prime with Welker, Gronk and...that other tight end we had.

2015 Panthers - Highly overrated team that overachieved.

2016 Falcons - Pretty random conference winner. While the Matt Ryan-Julio Jones connections was practically unstoppable, the rest of the offense was as meh as the defense.

2018 Rams - Shouldn't have been in the Super Bowl in the first place.

2017 Patriots - Definitely the weakest of the Super Bowl bound Patriots defense. Offense was above average for its standards, but the defense was 2011 bad.

2010 Steelers - Does anyone remember anything about this team?

It was one of the top 10 offenses all time. What are you even talking about?

It was top 10 because of Ryan/Jones. I'm saying outside of that, the offense wasn't that special.

The running game that put up 2000 yards and 20 TDs wasn't special?

The fact that Ryan was distributing the ball to literally everyone for a touchdown wasn't special?

Come on man, It was just as good as the Greatest show on turf. It just did it a different way.

Julio Jones is literally half the offense.

Yeah, they finished 12-4, had the #1 defense in the NFL, and were very possibly an offensive line away from being Super Bowl champions, given that two of their three turnovers in Super Bowl XLV were the direct result of poor blocking.

Except he wasn't. He was barely close to 25% of the passing game. He only received 13.5% of the touches on the offense the entire year. He also only gained 20.4% of the yardage. He also only scored 10% of the TDs.

So he definitely wasn't. Kyle Shanahan was a big reason why that 2016 offense was so good. But to act like the offense was just Julio and Ryan ignores how well Tevin Coleman (900 Yds from scrimmage and 11 TD), Devonta Freeman (1500 YFS and 13 TD), Mohamed Sanu and Taylor Gabriel did. It also ignores that there were a lot of minor guys who put up at least 200 yards.

Are you mistaking the 2014/2015 Falcons with the 2016 Falcons? The 2016 Falcons were one of the most efficient offenses of all time, and that doesn't happen when you're locking down on a single WR the entire time.

The 2014/2015 squads were entirely dependent on feeding Julio Jones the football, and they had predictable results. Julio had some great numbers (as he should, he's amazing), but also resulted in offenses that accumulated lots of yards, but not nearly as many points. They were inefficient, prone to turnovers, and stagnating once they got past the 50 yard line. There were multiple games where Julio Jones was essentially a decoy in 2016 (vs. Packers in the regular season most notably) and the offense still functioned. Julio just added a dynamic that made it difficult to stop.
