i see it more of a drama with supernatural elements. Like field of dreams

Oh I don't think it fits here either, but it's overtly paranormal, and has most of the hallmarks, so I would think it would be lumped in here before the other two.

I think this will make people happy... let's see.

If a nomination fits multiple genres of the 8 genres we will be using and does NOT get voted to represent that decade, it can be nominated again. We just can't have multiples in the brackets.

Let's not over-complicate this like everyone does with everything nowadays. Silence of the Lambs is close enough to fitting this category that anyone making a stink of it is just looking to be difficult.

My other two noms would be Scream and Halloween, but SotL should take this fairly easily.

From Dusk Til Dawn

That movie could have been flat out amazing, but I thought the ending with the vampires was a little over the top and a little cheesy with how they played that all out.  Great story, freaking has one of the sexiest moments in movie history with Salma Hayek's dance, but the cheesiness of the end took it down a peg.  Early on the film is super badass, it was so close to being a freaking great film.  George Clooney is bad to the bone in that film, and Michael Parks is classic early in the film as the Texas Ranger.

Jacob's Ladder

In the Mouth of Madness

That’s another one I’d put in the thriller category, but definitely needs a nomination. One of the creepier movies out there.
